Even the best surfaces are subject to the wear and tear caused by time, weather, and traffic. No surface is permanent. But by undertaking a program of planned pavement maintenance, considerable savings in rehabilitation costs may be achieved. Your pavement surface will remain sound, usable and safe.

The application of REAS will significantly extend the life of existing pavements by protecting the under-surface from the effects of aging and the environment. Improved surface performance is an added bonus.

Timing of the treatment is important in overall cost and effectiveness. Although the serviceability of an untreated asphalt pavement is still adequate after several years of use, pavement deterioration has already begun. A maintenance program undertaken before significant deterioration has begun is essential to maximize pavement life. Preventative maintenance is more cost-effective than corrective maintenance.

Aggregate types are I (fine), II (General), and III (Coarse).


Fine aggregate mixtures (Type I) are used for maximum crack penetration and sealing in low density/low wear traffic areas.

Type II aggregates are the most commonly used  and are widely employed where moderate to heavy traffic is found. They seal; correct moderate to severe raveling, oxidation and loss of matrix; and improve skid resistance.

Type III corrects severe surface conditions, which prevent hydroplaning and provides skid resistance under very heavy traffic loads.

Our rubberized slurry outlast conventional slurry seals with our proprietary polymers, admixtures and rubber additives. Communities like Alamosa, Carbondale, Montrose and Telluride have already utilized this environmentally responsible solution to meet their asphalt preservation needs.

  • Select coal tar resins are blended with an asphalt emulsion, and then interlaced with polymerized latex. The blend is then reinforced by polyester fibers. Coarsely graded aggregates are then held in suspension by the compound.  The polymerized fiber-reinforced slurry is then applied as a micro surfacing treatment to protect asphalt surfaces.
    The result: extremely durable asphalt protectant that restores the original look of newly placed asphalt.

  • Longevity: More than twice that of sealco’s conventional sealcoating. Over three times longer than that of our competition.
