Our uniquely blended asphalt sealer is
unsurpassed in durability and performance. We use a blend of coal tar sealer
and asphalt emulsion, combined with
TARMAX R-100 for superior strengthand longevity, in conjunction with up to 8 pounds of angular silica sand
per gallon of concentrated sealer. This proprietary blend has proven
performance in our high altitude, harsh climate.
TARMAX R-100is a blended product based on
acrylonitrile and other crosslinking polymers. A viscosity modifier and
minor amounts of silicone have been added to improve mix rheology, leveling and
water resistance. TARMAX R-100 conforms to Federal Specification
RP355e and meets military and FAA specifications for sealcoating airport and
military pavements.
Oil Spots?
SealCo has the solution. TARLOC MPC is a
multi-purpose coating for asphalt and concrete pavement, for the purpose of
improving adhesion. TARLOC MPC should be used as a primer for oil
spots, hard to clean areas and polished aggregate prior to sealcoating.
TARLOC MPC is also recommended prior to sealcoating over any concrete
surface.

Why Sealcoat ?
Key Benefits:
Provides Protection Against Water And U.V. Damage
Restores Original Rich, Black Look
Protects Your Asphalt Investment
Sealcoating protects asphalt. It's that simple. Without
it, your asphalt would eventually break down and would require at best to be
re-surfaced or even worse to be completely removed and re-laid...at great
expense.
Sealcoating slows water penetration and oxidation.
Exposure to oxygen hardens asphalt binders and results in a brittle pavement
surface that will soon crack. Once these cracks have formed, water is able
to penetrate the sub-base, weakening it and reducing pavement strength. This
weakening will lead to more cracks and eventually expand and become
potholes. Sealcoating fills these natural surface voids reducing the
asphalts exposure to water and oxygen, thus adding longevity to your
pavements life.
Sealcoating also helps to resist ultraviolet rays. These
rays break the links between carbon bonds within the asphalt, thus loosening
the aggregate in the asphalt. Though sealcoating won't repair damage that
already has occurred, it will help prevent further damage from U.V. rays.
Sealcoating beautifies asphalt making it look like new
again. The parking area is then easier to clean because of it's smother
surface. Snow is easier to remove and sweeping isn't as difficult as it once
was. Regularly sealcoated asphalt is black. The blacker it is, the more heat
is absorbed from the sun, making the surface much more pliable. The more
pliable the surface is, the more it will be able to withstand traffic volume
changes without cracking.
Bottom Line: Protecting your asphalt is protecting your
investment in it in the first place. It looks better, it lasts longer and
it reduces future costly repairs.
Advanced Equipment And Technology
Our equipment provides a uniform and even distribution of
sealers. We use hydraulically agitated spray units, that distribute an
even coat of sealer and aggregate. Your asphalt will look like new
again, while protecting your asphalt investment.
Technologically Advanced Products
Our premium blend of coal tar and asphalt emulsions is laboratory tested
for consistency and superiority. To that we add TARMAX R-100
admixture. When TARMAX R-100 is added to sealer, it is absorbed
by the emulsion particles which gradually swell, increasing the liquid
viscosity. This increased viscosity allows more aggregate to be added
t the emulsion and holds the aggregate in an even suspension during the
drying process. As water evaporates the emulsion particles begin to
coalesce and crosslink, bonding the aggregate firmly to the pavement.
