Thermoplastic markings are thermally bonded to the asphalt or
concrete surface. These types of markings outlast traditional paint
markings 4 to 20 times longer, resulting in less maintenance costs. Thermoplastics come in
all shapes, sizes and colors. From arrows, to A.D.A. layouts,
crosswalks to even custom Logos.
Thermoplastics markings contain glass beads throughout their construction,
allowing for continuous reflectivity. This ability to provide improved
safety, combined with their longevity, make thermoplastics the right choice for
permanent road markings, or anywhere permanent symbols or logos are needed.
Often Thermoplastics are
recessed into the pavement, this in turn makes them
nearly impervious to the destructive blades of snow plows. Unlike
traditional painted markings, thermo plastics do not "wash" away with our
climatic changes. Because of a Thermoplastic Markings ability to have
color and reflectivity throughout its whole structure, they are exceptional more
durable than tradition markings. This is why properly installed
thermoplastics can last up to 20 times longer. In the event that they
are damaged, repair is quick easy and permanent. A small patch may be
cut from extra stock and thermally bonded to the marking. The end
result is often indistinguishable from the original.
Preformed thermoplastic materials are generally available in both 90 mil &
120 mil thicknesses, both with a wide array of available colors.
Preformed thermoplastics come in all shapes and sizes: from 4" lines to 3' x
8' crosswalk bars to laser-cut logos. The possibilities are limitless.
